Hot ASICS GEL-LYTE V OCHA ZOME Matcha Green/Matcha Green

The GEL-LYTE® V sneaker from the OCHA ZOME™ Collection draws inspiration from traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.

We constructed the upper with cotton that was colored with a dye extracted from matcha. The dye itself was made using leftover ingredients from matcha tea production processes.

The tooling retains its wavy design from when it first hit the running market in 1993. Only this time, we’ve revamped the midsole’s construction by using at least 20% recycled materials to support more sustainable manufacturing.
